There are only 19 privately owned lodges in Clifford Bridge Park, leaving acres free for wildlife and a flower meadow to bloom. Various walks are accessible from the lodge’s doorstep: upstream to Fingle Bridge & Castle Drogo or downstream to Steps Bridge and Dunsford Nature Reserve through gorges and woods along riverside paths.
Bird watchers will be able to spy buzzards soaring overhead or perching on a branch by the river, alongside heron, dippers and other woodland birds. A keen eye might even be able to spot a kingfisher or an otter, or fallow deer grazing on the meadow!

Clifford Bridge Park is proud of its conservation award and the environmentally friendly way it is managed. Please note: water is drawn from a private bore-hole and waste is treated naturally in a bio-sewage treatment plant. Because of this only the cleaning materials supplied can be used. The use of others, such as bleach, would destroy the delicate balance of the system and prevent it from working.
